Following a call for tenders, a long-term agreement was signed between the FIA and Eurosport Events with a broad commitment to promoting the new FIA Electric Touring Car World Cup at the highest level of the world. International competition.

PURE ETCR's first season begins in June 2021, with a five-round schedule that comprises four European events and one Asian tournament.
